Michael Coultas
Guitars / Vocals

I started playing guitar when I was around 11 after buying my first acoustic guitar and then of course after seeing the Beatles, I HAD to have an electric guitar with an amp. I played in my first band in the 7th grade, " The Knight Riders " oh yeah we were cool. We had our own name tag and everything. I was in a couple of bands throughout my high school years playing roller skating rinks and dances at the local legion hall.

After high school, I joined the military and just played some acoustic guitar while there. After being discharged, I was approached by a friend to join his duo group "Two For The Show Trio". What a name, huh! 3 guys having a great time traveling all over the United States in a 1966 Pontiac Bonneville hearse (what a boat) playing clubs, lounges, conventions and hotels. Somewhere along the line, the "Gong Show" came along and we were off to Hollywood to win that, and we DID!

That group played coast to coast, border to border for 4 years. I took a little time off and then I was approached by a newly formed group, "Quick Change" to be the lead singer. During the early years of Quick Change i penned a lot of songs and recorded a few, one of which " Solitary Lovers " charted on the billboard country charts and stayed there for 9 weeks in some pretty good company of major artists. It was the in the top 5 adds for the week for 3 weeks in a row.  Nope not a number one but felt pretty good for a small label.  I played in that group in one form or another for 26 years with a great bunch of guys and we had "LOTS" of fun.

As a self-taught Guitarist /Vocalist, I’ve had a great time playing music over the years and have opened for dozens of major acts; Country Legends Chet Atkins, Mickey Gilley, John Conely,Tommy Cash,Marty Robbins,Kenny Rogers, Charlie Daniels,The Mills Bros., The Bay City Rollers, Blackhawk, Diamond Rio and Shenandoah to mention a few. I look forward to playing with the guys in BOULEVARD. So far, it’s been a kick! Yeah, I'll be doing those funny comedy things, as I just can't get away from them and they seem to be quite popular and follow me around.

It’s been a fun ride to this point and seems like I’ve played just about everywhere until the next time I play. I appreciate everyone's support over the years and hope to see you soon.
