Dan Ayer
Bass Guitar / Vocal
LaHarpe, IL.

I suppose my musical career began at age 7, when I first took guitar lessons from my music teacher at school. However, she left after one year and that slowed my progress on the guitar.

(for several years) I did play the trumpet through my junior year in high school and then due to a “conflict” with my band instructor I left the band and trumpet behind. In my late teens and early twenties I picked up the guitar again and set to learning every Bad Company song (and other bands of that kind) I could.

Then life happened and I would only pick up the guitar occasionally. I really got back into music about six or seven years ago when I began playing with an acoustic group that plays roots music. At that point I set about trying to learn as many different instruments as I could, to add different flavors to the songs that we played.
I had been friends with the members of Boulevard for quite some time and when they found themselves in need of a bass player we talked and decided that I should give the bass a try. As it turned out I was able join the group. I am thrilled to be playing with a great bunch of people who play some of the most listenable/danceable classic rock and country tunes ever written. Hope to see you at the next show. Dan
